Message from Rachel and Jo
In our assemblies this week at Morningside, we have been thinking about how we show respect for each other, sharing the book Do Unto Otters with the children. We have thought carefully about the ways in which we would like to be treated, with kindness, good manners and consideration. We are all trying to make sure that this is how we treat each other. It has been lovely to see the children putting this into action around school this week.
We have a farewell to say this week. Miss Mikayla is leaving Morningside to take up a position with more responsibility elsewhere. We wish her good luck and every success in her new role. We are pleased to be able to welcome Ryan Cox to Morningside as 4S’s new teacher. He is an experienced and enthusiastic teacher; we are looking forward to having him on the team.

Lost Belongings
Lost property is growing, and we’d love your help to get it under control. Please make sure your child’s clothing is clearly labelled—it really helps us return items quickly.
It’s also worth checking at home that your child hasn’t accidentally brought someone else’s belongings. These things have a habit of wandering!
Eco-Swap is Back!
We are delighted to announce that our postponed Eco-Swap event will now take place on Friday, 24th January. This is a fantastic opportunity to declutter after a post-Christmas clearout and donate any pre-loved items to a good cause keeping them out of landfill. Come along, share, and swap items to support sustainability in our school community. We can’t wait to see you there!
Please bring any items that you would like to swap to the main office during the week beginning 20th January. You will be given tokens that you can swap for items at the event. Items must be in good, clean condition. We look forward to seeing you there.

Attendance Class of The Week
This week, we want to celebrate 6S who have 100% attendance. A HUGE congratulations and keep up the excellent work, it has a great impact on learning and progress. You can help your child’s class win the weekly fruit platter by making sure they are at school everyday.
