Message from Rachel and Jo

At the end of our first term as co-headteachers, we would like to thank the Morningside community for all your support this term. It has been a busy term with trips, workshops and fabulous learning in all classes. It has been such a pleasure to see so many of you at school events – there are more of these coming up in the summer term which you can read about below.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, creativity and kindness we see from our children every day, and we are grateful to be leading such a vibrant and welcoming school community.

We are sad to be saying goodbye to Jess, one of our wonderful kitchen team. She is moving on to new opportunities after 13 years helping to feed hundreds of Morningside children. We wish her all success in the future.

After Easter, we are happy to be welcoming Paul as our new Pastoral Manager. Paul is a very experienced practitioner and will be a huge asset to Morningside. He will be in the playground before and after school each day, and there is an opportunity to meet him at the pastoral drop in on Wednesday 23rd April at 08:45am.

Wishing all our families a restful break and, to those celebrating, a very Happy Easter. We look forward to seeing you in the summer term for more learning, laughter and community togetherness.

Have a great break.

Rachel and Jo

Happy Easter!

A cheerful and colorful Easter scene for a primary school newsletter, featuring a group of multicultural children joyfully hunting for Easter eggs in a grassy field. The children are of diverse ethnic backgrounds, including Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern, all wearing bright spring clothes. There are blooming flowers, butterflies, and a sunny blue sky. In the background, a friendly Easter bunny waves and holds a basket of colorful eggs. Pastel-colored balloons and banners with 'Happy Easter' are strung across the field. The atmosphere is fun, inclusive, and perfect for young kids.

To all our families who will be celebrating Easter this weekend, we send our warmest wishes for a joyful and peaceful time with your loved ones. May this season of hope and renewal bring happiness to your homes and hearts.

From all of us at Morningside, Happy Easter!

Attendance Class of The Week

This week, we want to celebrate 6S who have 93.1% attendance. A HUGE congratulations and keep up the excellent work, it has a great impact on learning and progress. You can help your child’s class win the weekly fruit platter by making sure they are at school everyday.

Our next group of 100% attendance winners were very happy to receive their prizes on Monday.

As you can see below, attendance has been a little lower than usual. We hope to see everybody back refreshed and healthy after half term.
