Message from Jo and Rachel

We hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break. It’s been lovely to see the children return refreshed, smiling, and ready to learn. A very warm welcome back to all our families as we begin the final term of the school year.

We’re delighted to welcome a new member of staff to our team this term – Paul, our new Pastoral Manager. Paul brings a wealth of experience and a calm, caring presence to the role. We’re excited to have him join the Morningside community and know he will make a positive impact on the wellbeing and support we offer our pupils and families.

The first week back has been full of energy and enthusiasm. Classrooms are buzzing with curiosity and excitement as children get stuck into their new curriculum topics and class novels. It’s been a joy to see everyone so settled and eager to learn.

As the weather (hopefully!) gets warmer, please make sure your child comes to school with a water bottle, a sun hat on hot days, and that any jumpers, cardigans or hats are clearly labelled with their name.

We would like to thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership.

Jo and Rachel

Parents Evening

Parents evening will take place on Thursday 1st May from 2:15pm to 6:30pm for all classes, except for 6M, who will have two slots available: the first on 1st May from 2:15pm to 5:30pm and a second on Friday 2nd May from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. In addition, our nursery will have an extra session on Friday 2nd May from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Children will need to be collected from school at 2:00pm on the day of Parents’ Evening, Thursday 1st May.

If your child is enrolled in a club or attending the play centre, they can remain at school and be collected at the usual time (4:30pm for clubs).

Bookings for parents evening is through the Arbor app as usual. Please ensure that you schedule all bookings by 30th April to secure your preferred time.

Home School Communication Approach

Who to Speak to About What

To help ensure your query is directed to the right person, here is a quick guide:

A Quick Reminder of Our Communication Expectations:

Staying Connected: Key updates and reminders are shared via email, text, SeeSaw, and the weekly newsletter – please do keep an eye on these.

The full Home-School Communication Approach can be viewed online at: Working Together: How We Communicate

Health and Safety: Jewellery Reminder

A reminder that, for health and safety reasons, children may only wear one pair of small stud earrings and a simple watch to school. Religious items may be worn, but we ask that parents speak to a member of staff first. Thank you for your support.

Family and Community Events: Summer 1

Please see the flyer below for the details of summer 1 events.
